Thank You For Googling!

I find it quite amusing that within the past couple of months, well since approximately November 15th 2008, the hits that I’ve received from people googling a certain string of words has practically quadrupled. Before that time it was a rare occurrence for these three words to be googled and for them to actually lead someone to my page. Being the nerd that I am, I make use of not just one statistic tracking add-on, but of three. One is visible on my site, the other two are not.
Since November 16th, 2008, I’ve also made use of my IP Deny Manager, even more frequently. Considering I knew, where & why these people were googling this certain string, I didn’t care to have their traffic on my site. In the process, I’m sure I may have blocked a few people who didn’t have negative intent when it came to using google, but it had to be done.
Before November 15th 2008, my top google search phrases were:
According to those statistics, out of the 1,000+ searches my blog has appeared in, “Strap-ons”, was the number #1 search source. Who would have thunk it?
But I guess a good thing did come about from all of their googling. I got sitelinks!

Since November 2008, guess what my top google search phrase is? It amazes me how many people took it upon themselves to help out their ‘friend’ in need, to search for “FUNKY BLACK CHICK” to some how manipulate the search results, which is sometimes referred to as a Google Bomb. Personally, I think these people have way too much idle time on their hands.

But, it’s ok, so I’d like to send a little thank you out to the following people:

Oops, I guess they won’t actually get to see the thank-you, because they’ve been blocked. Well I’m sure it’ll reach them, gotta love the lurkers who like to print out pages of my site!
In any event, people have emailed asking if I’ll ever write my personal opinion about this whole law suit bullshit, who knows, maybe I will, maybe I won’t, but I’m definitely not the type to solicit sympathy or thrive on sympathy given to me by others. Never have been, never will. But, if you’re looking to read someone else’s personal take on it, you can check out, The Intersection of Madness & Reality, you’ll probably end up laughing at the hilarity of it all.
