To be fair to Dove, the company that owns Dove and Fair and Lovely (Unilever) also owns stuff like bouillon cubes. I think Unilever is just a giant company – it's kind of like how Philip Morris was a cigarette company, yet the showed all those anti-smoking commercials and what not. Except the connection isn't as close as that. Dove still makes awesome products and their campaign is a winner in my book!

This is Kah-razy!! When I saw this I thought it was photoshopped. I didn't believe he'd really did anything to his skin. HA! I told my mother and she said, “What the hell? That's scary!” LOL

It's an American thing, girl. Once you've been introduced to this nation's way of life, celebrity and film/tv…you will sooner than later be inducted into a society of superficiality. Kinda like that show, “V”…where the ugly folks are covering their ugliness with “skin” to be more approachable, so they can move in and colonize the humans. lmao We gonna have to get rogue like Morris Chestnut (with his yummy chocolate….um) and be mavericks in this mofo.

Soooo the most hilarious thing about this is I was REALLY thinking Sammy Sosa was about to play Ricardo. I was thinking ok… yea.. he hates himself… blah, blah, blah… there's a struggle in Latin America over skin color just like in the black community but I was really waiting for the *wham!* The I Love Lucy Premier date is *drumroll* … nada. I can't believe Sammy who was actually very good looking has whitened his skin AND put in the contacts! What is all this about? I mean why all of a sudden? You go 40 years as a person of color and now you want to bleach yourself? That's some extreme self-loathing.

I think he does have vitiligo from all the steroid use. You can see the dark coloration under all the makeup in the picture above. Guess he thinks because he's white he might as well go all the way with the green contacts. I'm kind of trippin' about the fact that the health food store has skin lighteners, that's weird.

I read about this at another site, but I didn't get too involved in the message. I mean I can't remember a damn thang they said. Well I do remember one standout message. This brother I know (rich ass brotha, I ain't hatin, he's just rich) he just came back from Africa last week. In fact he's been around the world and most of the chocolate cities in America. Well, he said there's still hope because out of all the places he's been, NEW YORK CITY is carrying the flag of “I'm black and I'm proud”. He said even in Africa, the woman are preoccupied with their hair. So Ms. fung'ke chik, if your hair is still like that in your picture, you're still one of the sweetest of the sweet.
