Ghosts of HoShit Past
*Disclaimer: hoshit is a slang term that can used in jest, doesn’t necessarily mean “ho”, well maybe for some of yall *shots fired* (lol)
Imagine this scenario:
You’re standing across the room in a crowded lounge in DC, Sade’s music is playing in the background, everyone is drinking and having a good time. You then catch the feeling that someone is staring at you, you turn around and your eyes meet, but the guy doesn’t say one word to you.
For the rest of the night, the “he’s looking at me feeling” is looming around.
You think to yourself, “Well damn, is he going to say something? It’s not like we parted ways on bad terms”.
Now, I’m sure whether you’re a man or woman, you may have been in a similar situation. You see someone that you’ve dealt with, out in a public setting, and you know they see you, but instead of saying “hello”, they just stare you down all night long.
It then becomes a game of, “will/won’t he or she say something”. And that’s exactly what happened last night. Even my friend @ThePBG commented on him this morning, and said, “ur ghost of hoshit past looked a bit shaken n’ stirred last night…I was like, what’s the deal??”. So not only did I notice it, but she noticed it as well.
What I didn’t understand, if you’re going to glare me down all night, why not just open up your mouth and say ‘hi’? Considering that the parting of ways was quite amicable, what’s the big deal? Let me also say, that I didn’t feel that I should have said anything because I was fine noticing him for a second, and kept it moving. I wasn’t the one with the staring problem, so no, I wasn’t going to approach him.
Long story, short, if you happen to see someone from your past out & about, it doesn’t hurt to say hello. Besides, it’s rude and creepy to stare people down all night long. Take a picture, it’ll last longer. Thanks to @ThePBG for being my inspiration this morning (lol)
